Ding Xu is currently an undergraduate student majoring in Microelectronics Science and Engineering at South China University of Technology (SCUT), China. She has maintained an outstanding academic record, with a GPA of 3.94/4.00 and a major ranking of top out of 94 students. Among the 60 courses she has completed, she received full grade points in 48 courses and ranked first in her major in 13 courses. Based on her excellent academic performance, she has secured recommendation-based admission and will join Prof. Qiuyang Lin’s research group at the Institute of Frontiers Technology for Chips and Systems, Fudan University, in 2027 to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering.
During her undergraduate studies, she has participated in several research projects focusing on low-dropout regulators and analog integrated circuit design. She independently designed an output-capacitorless LDO featuring a wide load-current range and fast transient response. As a team leader, she also developed a high-accuracy, low-power, high-PSRR LDO with digitally adjustable output voltage, completing both circuit and layout design. In addition, she completed a full digital IC design flow involving RTL design, functional simulation, logic synthesis, automatic placement and routing, DRC, LVS, and post-layout simulation, establishing a solid foundation in both analog and digital integrated circuit design.
Her research interests include analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, LDOs, ADCs, and power management integrated circuits for biomedical applications. She hopes to deepen her knowledge through research and practical experience and ultimately develop chips and systems that address real-world engineering needs.
Outside her studies, she enjoys playing badminton and exploring different cuisines. She is also an accomplished violinist and Go player, having attained Grade 10 in violin and 5-dan in Go.
